Dr Sally Sofuoglu is a dedicated dentist with a special interest in periodontology and is currently undertaking a Level 7 Diploma, with the aim of specialising further in this field. She is passionate about educating patients on the importance of gum healthโnot only for maintaining a healthy smile, but also for its wider impact on overall systemic health.
She is committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their symptoms and concerns. Known for her approachable manner, she often uses gentle humour to reinforce key messagesโreminding patients that if their eye were bleeding, they would seek urgent care, and their gums deserve the same level of attention.
Dr Sofuoglu graduated with distinction, placing joint third in her year, and continues to expand her expertise through ongoing professional development. She has a genuine passion for dentistry and finds great fulfilment in delivering positive, lasting outcomes for her patients.
Her clinical philosophy is centred around prevention, following evidence-based guidelines and placing strong emphasis on patient education. She focuses on key factors involved in dental disease, including tooth resistance, dental plaque, and dietary carbohydrates.
She has also completed an anterior veneer workshop with Dr Richard Porter at the BDIA Dental Showcase, further developing her interest in aesthetic dentistry.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Sofuoglu enjoys oil painting and playing the piano. She also has a keen interest in space and science, reflecting her natural curiosity and love for learning. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and caring for animals, finding these activities both calming and rewarding.
